Last 7th of March 2017 it was presented the “Report on the political situation and the violation of fundamental rights in Catalonia“ at the “Espai Vilaweb” (Barcelona). The following document is the result of an initiative of 12 Catalan civil society organizations with no ties to political parties, including FOCIR, that want to explain to the world the situation of violation of rights in Catalonia and the reclamation of democracy.
In short, it aims to inform and denounce to international human rights organizations the political moment Catalonia is living and the violation of fundamental rights perpetrated against the process to achieve the independence of Catalonia.
Al final del document, s’afirma que les autoritats de l’estat espanyol no respecten la llibertat d’expressió i opinió, impedeixen l’exercici lliure de la representació política i no garanteixen la imparcialitat de la justícia.
FOCIR will disseminate the document to all organizations that have an international recognition.
