We are currently carrying out research in order to create an up-to-date database with all of the information available on the current situation regarding the international presence of Catalan civil society.
At the moment we are working with a database with 178 Catalan organisations with international relations, and around 30 who are working on the internationalisation of the country.
The information we are gathering is related to, among other things, the type of international recognition which the international branch of Catalan organisations have, whether they are or have been part of international management committees or work commissions, whether they have requested and received support from the Catalan Government to help support their international relations, which international bodies have a presence in Catalonia and which international events take place in the country.
This report will act as a snapshot of the current situation and will analyse the level of participation of Catalan civil society in Catalonia’s foreign relations and as part of the global agenda. At the same time, it will also enable us to identify spaces and debates on an international level where there is still a lack of presence from the network of Catalan organisations.
